Since mid-2020 Fortnite’s popularity had been decreasing. The game was just not as fun as it used to be. Many of the people that used to play, including myself, uninstalled the game, thinking that the game had died and that it was time for a new game.
Recently, Epic Games (Fortnite’s developers) decided it was time to make a change. They were losing millions of players which led them to start losing a lot of money. The company said that it was enough. Something had to change. Epic Games decided to change the game completely with the release of Season 5. They made people think that they were going to return to the old Fortnite map. This led to many people reinstalling the game. What the players found was that Epic Games did not change the map but, instead, they made it fun again.
Since then, more and more people, like my friends and I, have decided to reinstall the game and try to play again. It’s not what it used to be, but it certainly has improved.
