Kanye West's Adoration of Hitler Ruined his Career
Kanye West has recently been very open about his history of admiring Adolf Hitler due to the holocaust and the crimes committed against Jewish people. He has reportedly said that he supports the Nazi party and the “good” things Hitler did for Germany. Four other sources told CNN that West originally suggested “Hitler” as a title for his 2018 album. However, he ended up naming it “Ye” instead. Due to his repetitive antisemitism behavior, Kanye was dropped by important brands such as Adidas, Gap, and Balenciaga. Even his lawyer left him. His net worth also decreased a considerable amount. It went from $2 billion to $400 million. Some of the people that have worked with Kanye over the years have said that he was open about reading “Mein Kampf”, Hitler’s manifesto. The raper’s music streams and sales have diminished, and some of his concerts have been canceled. His documentary was shelved. The remaining money he has consists of a real estate portfolio, a music catalog, a 5% stake in Skims (Kim Kardashian’s shareware firm), and $122 million in cash and stock.
He has also said that Jewish people are “greedy” and “relentless in the pursuit of wealth”. He stated on Tucker Carlson’s show that Jared Kushner, a Jewish man, was motivated to do policy deals by money. Most people are against all of his actions, however, some of his hardcore fans and people who simply are antisemitic hanged posters in Los Angeles that expressed the idea that Kanye is “right” about Jewish people. Also, flyers have been handed out or simply pasted on the streets of Los Angeles making antisemitism and homophobic comments. It doesn’t just stop there, though. Kanye’s behavior has led people to leash out and comment on their own opinion about Jewish people, of course, mostly antisemitic opinions.
Many of his loyal fans will not leave after this, but still, most people have left his fandom in disgust of his actions and hate speech directed towards Jewish people. Some others take this matter as a joke and decide to ignore the real issue here. The problem is that these types of behaviors will lead to never-ending hate towards different religions, races, sexuality, beliefs, or anything for that matter. This is a serious topic at the end of the day due to the persecution Jewish people still face to this day. But, what about you? Do you agree with Kanye’s point of view?
