Jorge Ruiz
I hear the waves crash
And look at the sunshine
I’m able to feel the sand
And understand
Understand that life is a gift
And that it is not only a day to day shift
My mom makes me glad
and my dad makes me proud
When I feel sad
I remember that there is no reason I shouldn’t be glad
My friends make me laugh
And my siblings support me at all times
I hear once again
The sound of the waves
And give thanks

Jorge Ruiz is a senior at CSA. When not studying, Jorge can be found watching sports,
Netflix, and spending time with his family. He enjoys playing sports with his friends and
hearing music. Jorge is still unsure about his field of study, but he thinks business would
work well with his abilities. He will probably attend Georgetown University.
