The Avengers: Endgame Review

Is it really that good?

Everyone has seen an Avengers movie, “The Avengers: Endgame” is the latest one to come out. The movie came out in mid-2019 and it was a continuation of the very successful “Infinity War”. Endgame became the second highest-grossing movie ever, just about $100,000,000 behind Avatar. Both critics and the public audience loved the movie. It received an 8.4 by IMDb, the highest ever for a Marvel movie. All this is very impressive, but is the movie overrated?

The movie was the final part of the Avengers saga. People were super excited to see how it would end, after watching Infinity War and seeing all their favorite characters die and if the remaining Avengers could defeat Thanos. He seemed invincible in Infinity War, but rather weak in Endgame. This is one of the main points that make me think the movie wasn’t that good. In Infinity War, not even Thor could hurt Thanos, but in Endgame everyone seemed to do so. Another reason I believe that it is overrated is because the directors and writers tried so hard to put comedy into the film. It’s the same thing that happens with the Disney-produced Star Wars movies, the unnecessary comedy and bad jokes ruin them. I highly believe that having a fat, drunk Thor was unnecessary and just hurt the movie. Also, I believe that Ironman should not have died. Yes, it maybe was a nice way to end the saga since Ironman began the MCU but his death was just not something that the people wanted to see.

In conclusion, the movie is very good but it is highly overrated. Many die-hard marvel fans will tell you that the movie isn’t even top 3 in the MCU. Even though I enjoyed watching the movie it wasn’t very good and it is very overrated.
