How lovely it’s to be in love,
How beautiful, the world, it seems,
As if you’re flying up above,
As if you can achieve your dreams.
But when true love is unrequested,
Or unwanted, or protested,
The love is kept in a dark cage,
The love turns into a wild rage
How is it that love can turn into hate?
It’s a daydream that slowly becomes a necessity,
But when you wake up you realize it was all in your head.
Unrequited love is a self-imposed penalty,
One that will make you feel trapped, on your deathbed.
Unrequited love is one of the greatest dangers,
It brings jealousy, loneliness, and even death.
It can turn two close friends into indifferent strangers.
And people’s only advice is: “take a breath!”
